The point may be made more effectively—this being a post about Jainism—with a cool and dispassionate voice.Naman Bhandarihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01454899440377785711noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4155770613355202151.post-68398590559251338712020-08-24T09:52:54.826+05:302020-08-24T09:52:54.826+05:30Hello

This money goes into the 'devdravya' account and this can be only used for direct upkeep of the pratima, the temple, buying land for temple building etc. Funds collected specifically for jivdaya are only used for jivdaya. There are 14 separate accounts for the various types of funds and the distinction is pretty strictly imposed. This happens at least in most of India.Kamal D Shahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10671037449347982821noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4155770613355202151.post-27972083200014417272020-08-24T08:58:27.914+05:302020-08-24T08:58:27.914+05:30Dear Kamal, Very good observations. I am not confident if there is clear publishing of the same and I would have been happier we would use this to fund education and support medical causes.. <br />Aparigraha is one of the most important fundamentals of Jainism. This is just a way to encourage people to donate. Moreover, I don't think I'm qualified enough to agree or not. I've not been very close to religion in the last 4 years. I do find it really peaceful when I'm in a temple. Can't really explain that feeling. I really need to find myself again and consciously make an effort to visit the temple every now and then.
